About The Film
Phoebe is a brilliant robotics engineer who can’t accept the death of her younger sister, Edie. Against every rule at the tech company where she works, she uses years of Edie’s messages, videos and social media posts to build a lifelike AI version of her.
At first, having her sister back brings Phoebe comfort and joy. But her creation soon forces her to face a question with no easy answer: if you could bring someone back, should you?
Starring Juno Temple, Joey King and James McAvoy, Almost You is a sci-fi comedy from Ted Lasso director Matt Lipsey. It’s a funny, heartfelt and timely story about grief, love and how far we’ll go to hold on to the people we’ve lost.
